Create Success with Phonics is a space dedicated to sharing books and resources for beginner and struggling readers. These resources are inspired by the Orton-Gillingham approach to learning which involves building foundational language skills using structured literacy. These foundational skills include explicit instruction in penmanship, alphabet, phonological awareness, phonograms, non-phonetic words (sight words), syllable types, spelling rules, affixes, grammar, reading fluency, and writing.

The books and resources shared on this site are suitable for students with a wide variety of learning differences including dyslexia, but they are also terrific for any student at the beginning stages of their literacy education.
